Business 2.0 RIP; Fortunate Wombat

Green_wombat_1_1As you may have read, Time Inc. is closing Business 2.0 magazine, where I work as an editor and which publishes Green Wombat. While it is exceedingly sad to see the end of B2, I'm happy to report that I'm joining Fortune magazine (along with eight of my Business 2.0 colleagues) and that Green Wombat is coming with me. We will remain in San Francisco as Fortune's West Coast bureau - the biggest of any business magazine. I'm looking forward to working at Fortune and continuing to report on the environment and technology at Green Wombat.

Todd, your reporting and blogging is invaluable, and I'm glad to hear that Wombat will stay alive.

Please keep us all updated, and keep up the good work!

Thanks, Kevin.

Todd:

I have been telling everyone I know who is interested in alternative energy and business about your weblog.
This is a cutting edge weblog. I will miss the stories from Business 2.0.

Glad to hear you will still be doin'it - Green Wombat is one of the most intelligent blogs on the net.

Todd, just as I discover what a great magazine B2 is and subscribe Time pulls the plug!! I sure am disappointed to see it go.

However, I am certainly pleased that you (and your colleagues) will be continuing your awesome Green Wombat blog!!

My best wishes to you and yours in your new and important endeavors.

Ron

Todd,
This is my 1st visit to your blog ... I think it is great! The 1st post I read was "Making Energy Hogs Pay", after that I put this place on my "favorites" list (and am glad I don't have to remove it :) I'm also happy for the wombats that your blog will be around (I made a donation -I'm a sucker for a cute face)!

I hope the idea of, and desire for smart metering catches on like wild fire here in the USA. (A fire that can't be put out by a bunch of politicians!) I live in Arkansas, and was disappointed the other day when I heard on NPR that AR is about to build another coal fired energy plant without considering (studying) any alternatives. With global warming, the polar bears, and everything else I can't believe this would happen anywhere.

Hi Todd,

As a fan of both B2.0 and Green Wombat... I'm sad... and relieved by this news!

Keep up the great work!

Todd,
This is the first time I saw your blog. There is too much information out on the web regarding everything green, but your ability to capture the essence of it and link it to the other relevant info is unique!
